About Us

Clam Brummer is a family owned business which was founded in 1944 as the British Paste Co., originally specialising in adhesives known as Clam adhesives, with numbers for the different grades which related to the different bus routes passing the Islington premises at the time!

Some years later the company acquired Brummer Ltd. so the name Clam Brummer was developed.

We have been making adhesives for over 60 years and Brummer Stopping for over 40 years, although the name Brummer is very much older.

Our products have been tried and tested by craftsmen for many years and our woodfillers are used by nearly all the leading furniture, joinery and conservatory manufacturers, as well as the MOD and Buckingham Palace.

All our products are made in the UK and manufactured to the highest possible standard under the terms of our ISO9001 accreditation. We take pride in our company and develop long-term relationships with customers who trust us, our advice and our products.
