Can I achieve a limed effect with Brummer?

Indeed you can. Use either White or Standard Brummer Rub In Grain Filler which comes in powder form and is ideal for achieving a limed effect. There are two ways to proceed:

For a lighter, more delicate effect use the Grain Filler by applying the powder with a damp cloth in a circular motion across the grain, exactly as you would apply a polish. Then simply allow to dry before polishing or varnishing.

For a more solid colour, mix the powder into a creamy paste using one part water to two parts powder, then apply as before. Wipe off any surplus as you go and remember to avoid allowing dried filler to build up on your cloth as this may scratch fine surfaces.
