What is Brummer? As we read in a woodworking magazine recently: “Brummer is a familiar name to woodworkers.” In fact the word Brummer originates from the time of Sheraton and Chippendale when those great cabinet makers and carpenters of bygone days made their own wood fillers by mixing fine shaving dust and glue, hence the old saying: “We put our trust in glue and dust, if that don’t work, Brummer must!” The products featured here have been tried and tested for over sixty years by wood craftsmen and they are used by nearly all the leading furniture, joinery and conservatory manufacturers to say nothing of the craftsmen who create the stunning wood fascias inside luxury motor cars. To all these craftsmen Brummer is an essential tool of the trade. Our products are as environmentally friendly as we can make them and feature naturally produced pigments, organic extenders and pearl or powder glue. We produce wood fillers for both interior and exterior use; in a wide range of natural wood colours. Incredibly tough and hard wearing our fillers can be drilled and sanded just like the wood itself and our exteriors range is also impervious to the harshest of elements including sea and rain water. It may also surprise you to know that our Yellow Label interiors range works as well with most metals as it does with wood, while our Green Label range can be used outside with wood, concrete, plaster, fibreglass and stonework. So all in all we believe Brummer deserves its reputation as a versatile, quality product which is used by craftsmen everywhere. |
